Story is about ‘Elle Deluca’ who is super tall ie 6 feet at mere age of 12. Because of her height she was supposed to play basketball at any cost. There were high expectations from her peers. School mandatory cotillion is a new challenge for her to learn ballroom dance and perform publically with shorter boys for a grade. Finally she manages to get her dancing dress and perform well. She realizes how dancing can be exciting. In playing basketball she worries so much as new coach changes her position and she thinks it might not be fruitful. But she learned how to perform well with the new position too in the basketball court. Book portraits the little difficulties kids experience of this age w.r.t social physical and mental changes happening around them. This book is a part of series named as Hoops (Donne) 1. Writing style is attention grabbing style specifically for grade level 3-6. Its genre covers basketball stories and sports fiction.
